It's post like this that makes me love ya more. So it's not only me who's would be willing to demo up a perfectly fine wall to get things set up the way I want it! All my projects end up running long...but it's all worth it in the end. :)

As a veteran of 3 such disasters my motto is always to go down the wall under the floor and then back up - or up to the ceiling etc etc etc.

That is some totally rad action on your wall though - perhaps you should create a new set of actions in their honour - call it the DIY Speaker Installation?

Hey Doug,
I wish I could have given you some advice before turning your wall into swiss cheese. I had the same problem about 3 yrs ago when doing my home theater setup...then later found out about: http://www.decorp.com/index.html
Have heard some good reviews about it and the best part is that there is no audio degradation...Just my 2 cents...

sam

ps. First time commenter(I don't think that is a word)..long time follower...Love your Totally Rad Actions...Makes my crappy pictures look pretty amazing...bravo..

And see...all along I thought *I* was the only one that got suckered into President's Day weekend projects that extend well beyond said 3 day weekend. I shudder every time Home Depot or Lowes runs one of those ridiculous "It's a three day weekend, get up and do something cool" ads because blessedly handy as my man is, he knows your pain through and through. We only had 7 studs in our 4 foot section of drywall to patch and repair. And God FORBID we have normal colored walls that don't require a full job to repaint after all is said and done.

Have fun with that fishing wire.
