Sorta got lost retouching this shot, and now it’s noon. This shot didn’t work out 100% the way I wanted, but I learned a few things from the process. The moral of the story is, if you’re shooting something stationary, and you’re lighting it, shoot several shots with different combinations of the lights firing. It gives you more flexibility when you composite things later. In this case, the shot with the good light on the chair had some weird shadows on the wall behind, and I used several other images with different lighting to get the final effect.

This form didn’t come up on any other post, for some reason (I think my computer doesn’t like some blogs, even though I love them). I am a long time admirer of your work and Chenin’s, and a fellow photographer in the Chicago area… this shot is so awesome, and I love how disciplined it looks – I mean that as a compliment, I hope it makes sense! Your blog is awesome, its so nice to read a blog that is artistic and personal at the same time. Thank you for being so creative and inspirational! I am looking forward to your next round of actions :)
