The Daily Show has been a bastion of sanity for me during the last half decade or so, and I was worried about what would happen to the show after Bush left office. After all, it has a definite liberal slant, which I like, but with our team in the driver’s seat, I was left wondering whether the Daily Show would become uninteresting and irrelevant.
Fortunately, the show continues to be both entertaining, and relentless in its muckraking. The March 12 episode with Jim Cramer (host of CNBC’s Mad Money) was a beacon example of why we need Jon Stewart. Spend 21 minutes of your life and watch Jon tear Jim a new asshole like you’ve never seen before – I guarantee that it’s not a waste of your time.

This is John Stuart at his BEST! We need more people like this on the air. Great clip…

I agree that Jon Stewart was fantastic in that segment (and in general!). However, I believe it is “Jon Stewart” not “Jon Stuart”. :)

Ah, dangit, you’re right! So worried about whether it was Jon or John that I forgot to spell the last name right! Fixed it…

Thank you so much for lovin’ off this interview. So much of what he says is exactly what everyone is thinking but is too afraid to say.

I am glad to see you posted this. I know it is typically “unruly” to post your political views, but I feel being artists, it is a part of who we are to believe strongly in something, stick to our guns, and let this side of us be seen.
Truth is, both sides have a strong philosophies that may work WHEN and IF people play above the boards. I, too, lean to the left, but I understand we can’t all be enlightened at the same rate. It is nice to see the big guys from the right squirm under the brilliance of John’s magnifying glass. And when people watch Cobert, I always wonder if they understand his tweaks. I know plenty who wouldn’t…
On a professional note, I’ve still got plenty to learn, but your actions save me. Thanks……………

I’m not sure if Cramer is “from the right.” At least based on his contributions…$268,000 for the Dems & $0 for the Pubs. (http://www.newsmeat.com/media_political_donations/Jim_Cramer.php)
One day he states that Bush is wrong and Obama is right…then he compares Obama to Lenin. Not sure if even Cramer knows whether he is coming or going. Either way, he got exposed.
