So this is the basic concept I want to play with in this series… somehow, though, the look of this just isn’t right. Something feels “off” to me. I think it’s mostly a composition / lighting thing. Probably going to re-shoot this pair later on down the road, but this shot sorta serves as a proof of concept for the project, in a way.

Haven’t had much time to work on this over the last couple days, because I’ve been busy helping Chenin move her office. Hopefully this weekend I’ll have more time to shoot, and things will start clicking again.

I like the look of these… this one, and the boot from the last post. I agree with you, though… something doesn’t look right. Maybe it’s too many years as a product photographer, but you have the left and right switched… maybe that’s it? Other than that, I dig the lighting, and such!
